Caitlin Dawes GDP, BSc Hons, MCNP, APS
I'm an Australian neuropsychologist and therapist living in Paris. I have worked in a wide range of settings, including hospitals and research clinics, as well as private practice. These experiences have given me a broad set of skills to treat a range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression and stress, as well as neurocognitive disorders such as ADHD.
In my work as a therapist, I like to create a friendly, down-to-earth and collaborative space. My aims are to make people feel truly heard and understood, and to deliver therapy that makes a genuine difference in their lives. I primarily engage in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and integrate Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) therapy and mindfulness-based techniques. I am also trained in Schema Therapy, which can be useful for getting people unstuck from negative patterns originating in childhood. I have a
Masters in Clinical Neuropsychology from Macquarie University in Sydney, where I received the Vice-Chancellor’s Commendation for Academic Excellence.
Problems I have experience treating include:
-
Anxiety and Worry
-
Depression
-
Perfectionism
-
Self-Esteem Issues
-
Isolation and Loneliness
-
Work and Study Stress
-
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
-
Adolescent Issues
-
Relationship Problems
-
Child and Family Issues
-
Life Crises

Given my expertise in neuropsychology, I am also able to draw on cognitive remediation techniques to address any difficulties with attention or memory associated with mental health difficulties. I also have experience evaluating and treating problems associated with memory and attention, neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease, psychiatric conditions, intellectual disability and drug and alcohol-related conditions.
Whatever you’re going through, it would be my privilege to help you see things more clearly, achieve emotional balance and live a more meaningful life. I look forward to welcoming you to our clinic in Paris and beginning your therapy journey with you.
